Furniture DeliveryQ: How long does it take to get my furniture?
A: It depends on what you’re ordering. Some of our furniture arrives in 1-2 weeks. Some takes 4-6 weeks. Custom-built wood furniture and new cubicles generally take 6-8 weeks.

If you’re working under time constraints, let us know and we will find options that will work in that time frame whenever possible. If you have questions, call us prior to placing your order and we’ll let you know when to expect your furniture.

Q: Should I avoid laminate furniture?
A: There are many grades of office furniture. We don’t sell “cheap”, low-quality office furniture. The new laminate furniture we sell is a high-grade laminate that is water-resistant, doesn’t chip and is easy to clean.

For some of our customers, laminate is their preferred choice and the only furniture they buy because of it’s durability, functionality and style. There are many color choices and you can get a much more customized look than you can with wood furniture.

You can eat lunch at your desk or have a soda or coffee with no fear. Condensation from your cup will not hurt your furniture or cause a “ring” to raise up, like it does with cheap office furniture. You could pour a soda on your desk, leave it for an hour, and clean it up with a wet paper towel a little later with no damage caused to your desk. You can’t do that with cheap paper-top furniture or even with high-end wood furniture. Laminate desks are just easier to care for.

Our laminates have 5-year warranties or longer, depending on which manufacturer you choose.

Q: I can get a file cabinet cheaper at (insert big box-store name here). Why are yours more expensive?
A: Just like in other furniture, there are different levels of quality in file cabinets. Quality filing cabinets use thicker metal construction, have higher quality glides, and are better balanced to withstand use over time.

Lightweight cabinets with cheap glides won’t hold up to use. You’ll fight to get the drawers open and closed and the metal sometimes flexes and dents for no apparent reason.

If you plan on using your cabinet on a regular basis, it’s worth your money and sanity to invest in a high-quality file cabinet.

Q: I have a limited budget. What should I spend my money on and what should I save on?
A: The items that get the most use should have the most money allocated to them. The two best places to spend your money are on your chairs and your file cabinets.

Most desks are pretty similar in terms of function. They provide a flat work space and generally have some drawers for storing pencils, files and miscellaneous items. They have some customization available but it is generally limited to style and storage needs. The basic function remains the same.

Most people spend the majority of their day in their office chair. Investing in a high-quality chair that fits you properly can help to prevent aches and pains that have you limping around and hurting at the end of the day. I actually worked in someone else’s office for a few days and sat in a chair that didn’t fit me while I was there. After the second day, I was in agony. I switched to a chair that was right for me and those aches and pains went away.

If you’ve ever fought to get a file cabinet drawer open for an important file, got the drawer stuck trying to shut it and finally gave up after fighting with it for 10 minutes, you know exactly why high quality file cabinets with good glides are important.

We only sell high quality file cabinets and chairs, intended for commercial use.
